I believe this is green leaf lettuce. It just started growing when I started gardening up last year. Mainly it’s been a sacrifice piece for the slugs to eat but is there anything I can do with this at this point? Are there seeds I can harvest if I leave it longer?

I dont know exactly about the harvesting but i know a way to preserve your plant. I have this plastic fence i use around my plant so that it isnt harmed in the spring.
