# I used neem oil incorrectly and many of the leaves of my squash plant…

_Posted by D.V. on 2025-07-17_

I used neem oil incorrectly and many of the leaves of my squash plant are now wilted, brittle messes. Similar problem with my string bean. What do you recommend to save the plant? One of the bean sprouts is beyond saving, all its leaves are gone (and it had a broken stem that was barely hanging on to begin with). Pictured is my squash first; the plant with the white scars is the bean.

Any advice would be appreciated. I have tried so hard for these guys but I keep consistently doing everything wrong for them.

I use cedar mulch for my container plants. Have you tried spraying with cedar oil? Safe for plants, people and pets.

I will have to try that. Thanks!
