Hey y’all,
So I’ve recently moved in to a new place, and over the spring these irises grew in and bloomed. However this elm(?) also grew in and I was worried about it taking over my irises. Some of them were already tipping over. I don’t know the first thing about plants and gardening, but I tried to dig it out. The thing is too stuck in there though to get it out without killing most of my flowers. Anybody have any ideas? Two pictures are from after I tried to dig it out and one is from before. On the opposite side of the flowers is a concrete walkway.

I had a similar situation and not entirely sure it worked… I cut the tree down as far as I could and then stabbed it a few good times 😂 We’ll know in the next few weeks or so if it worked.

That’s what I was thinking too… let me know how it goes for you!
