Need some help. Have a pot I want to put some flowering plants in on my front porch. This area gets direct, hot, I mean hot afternoon sun from 1-sunset everyday. I had some sunpatiens there but they wilted from the heat. I need some sturdy, full sun plants that can withstand direct and hot afternoon heat.

Zinnias might work!

I’m in Texas and swear by Zinnias. They’re like the most rewarding flowers too!

I've found bearded iris survives well in my hottest spot. Succulents should also do well
