I trimmed a few branches off the bottom of my dogwood last week. I was going to just toss them in the burn pile but thought I’d try propagating them for fun. If it does work, no biggie, if it does work, yay!  
So it’s still fairly cold here (NS) and the tree has buds but nothing is open, the ones I trimmed, brought inside and placed in water the buds have opened! Even if they don’t root, pretty cool!!! 🌸

Would love to know if this works for you. Let me know @MichellesHobby. I will ant to do the same thing but not sure how. My tree is 5 years old and still small.
