We recently purchased a house and the previous owner left things very overgrown (years worth). We have things cut back, but now I'm ready to garden! The dead foliage created quite the habitat for pests, but also an amazing soil. How do I treat for things I don't want without killing everything all together? I'm hoping to plant a garden for eating, so organic is ideal.

What kinds of pests?

Lots of pill bugs, different small "worms" (I thought they were silk worms but maybe cabbage worms), earwigs, beatles, slugs, and some mites.
