New to gardening. I have a sweet pepper plant and cucumbers growing. They both are about 5-6 inches and over an inch wide. My question is how do I know when they are ready to picked?

Hi! Very glad you asked. Unlike tomatoes they will just turn a different shade of green when they are maturing. To know when they are fully done and the plant doesn’t want it on them anymore, there will be a darker color on where to veggie and the plant are still connected. This color means that the plant is trying to kill off the stem of the veggie. So you should just twist and pull when you see that!
