# My Clematis I planted a month ago is having issues. The bottom leaves…

My Clematis I planted a month ago is having issues. The bottom leaves are turning yellow with some brown spots, then completely turning brown and falling off. The new growth and rest of the plant seems healthy. Overall growth is excellent, and it’s flowering. I recently watered with epsom salts to add magnesium to soil, thinking it could be a nutrient deficiency. Any suggestions?

This is a mandevilla not a clematis, but anyways it is probably from water stress, combination of overwatering and underwatering
