# This year I You Tubed and cut this gig right back. Thought I’d killed…

This year I You Tubed and cut this gig right back. Thought I’d killed it but it’s now sprouting all over the place! Including large shoot from base. I am not sure about the 2 stem thing…which if any of these shoots should I remove? Very grateful for any help :-)

It depends on your goal for the plant. Figs are naturally multi-stemmed but can be trained to a tree standard by selecting one and pruning away all the others. I like mine sprawling and multi stemmed but I have a lot of space!
