Hello, I live in WA zone 8B and have a Southeast facing deck. I struggled last year with keeping plants alive in the heat. Any suggestions for flowering plants that will love heat, a lot of sun and don’t mind being in containers? Would a rose live? I know lavender and rosemary will be good but what about flowers?

Hibiscus is a great choice for full sun. So is mandavilla, bougainvillea or many tropical plants. I keep all of mine in containers. Most roses also do well in full sun and containers

Check out Night blooming Cereus, or other flowering cactus. The blooms are epic!
