He was born from a corm!
My first ever successful corm leaf.
(no jinx no jinx) I’m just so proud of him.
I’m gonna name him Romeo, cuz I watched MET Opera’s livestream of Romeo and Juliet earlier today.
…. Good luck, Romeo!

I can relate! I’ve had many mushy rotten corms in my past. It’s not just you.

Born from a corm, beneath the soil's embrace,
Romeo, the tender shoot, finds its place.
In the earth's dark womb, a green hope unfurls,
A dance of life, where destiny twirls.

From the depths, Romeo stretches high,
Seeking the sun, reaching for the sky.
Each leaf a whisper of nature's grace,
In Romeo's growth, a new world's embrace.

Oh, how the earth sings with joyous glee,
For Romeo's corm has set it free.
In every new leaf, a story told,
Of resilience, beauty, and dreams bold.

Born from a corm, but destined to soar,
Romeo, the alocasia, forevermore.
