# As I’ve been transferring my plants over, I’ve been Googling to see…

As I’ve been transferring my plants over, I’ve been Googling to see how specific plants do in LECA, but I found pretty much no information about my aphelandra squarrosa (zebra plant).

It’s been one of those plants that’s been an absolute pain since I got it. I could it never keep it happy and it kept dropping leaves. I tried to prop a few leaves in water and in LECA first, and those all died 🙄. So I just gave up and moved the whole plant to water for a week, and then to LECA. There wasn’t much left of it by then anyway and I fully expected it would just go ahead and die on me.

Surprise, surprise - it didn’t even flinch when I transferred it over AND it’s been popping out new leaves like crazy 🙄😂.
