What does it mean when my indoor plant starts to grow mushrooms in the soil?

it means that your soil is very nutrient rich and your plant is thriving! it’s not a bad thing, but if the mushrooms make you uncomfy, you can pull them out or repot the plant

It can also be over watering, just stick your finger in the dirt to check if it needs water before you water next time : )
