They can droop when they need water or light.

It's a bit hard to tell from a photo, but if it's normally on that bookshelf, it's likely not getting enough light

I’ve moved him to a lot more light

Probably wants light.  
Other reasons my succulents have gotten droopy is from too much water.  
But I’d definitely say more light.
