Any ideas what I’m doing wrong here?

I’ve had my monstera potted with this moss pole for about three months now and nothing has grown into the pole. I don’t see any aerial roots really developing at all. I’ve had a couple stems attached to the moss pole the whole time til and never any luck. Got a second pot/pole with another monstera and I’ve got the same result.

It just needs to mature more I think! Give her some more time!!

Agree with the other commenter - still looks like a young plant, give it time.

Also, if your plant doesn’t yet have any aerial roots, the moss pole isn’t going to make them appear. Just keep things consistent, and it will come. In the meantime, the moss pole is helping your plant thrive 👍🏽

Thanks. Yea it’s still relatively young I think. I’ve only had it about 6 months. It has some aerial roots near the base of the plant, but they’re just pointed down toward the soil. I was under the impression that if you put in a moss pole, keep it moist, and attach some vines to it, they’d start growing aerial roots because of the moisture there. But if that’s not the case then yea I probably just need to be patient 😅

Thanks for the advice
