# My local supermarket had a false aralia “Gold Coast” so I had to buy…

My local supermarket had a false aralia “Gold Coast” so I had to buy it. I am pretty good at plants but I have already killed this one twice so I am here to ask for advice!

Both times, the plant was perfectly healthy, and then a bottom leaf suddenly turned brown and fell off, and very slowly over the course of a couple of months it crept up the plant and killed it. I still have no idea what I did wrong. Any ideas?

Ask the floral section at the supermarket you bought it from! They might know some tidbits. If you’re already good at plants mostly and you’ve tried and failed twice I feel like there is something unique they could tell you.

I will try that! One thing I read is that False Aralia doesn’t like sunshine, maybe moving further north is exactly what it needs!! 😀
