# My pink princess does this thing where the new petiole seems to get…

My pink princess does this thing where the new petiole seems to get stuck in the canal as it’s emerging. It ends up breaking the leaf sometimes. Any suggestions on how to potentially avoid this?

Adding some extra humidity like with a pebble tray, humidifier, or extra misting. It’s also important to make sure that it’s getting adequate light. 😁

I “helped” mine pop out when they get stuck, just with the pinky gently pop the top of the leaf out

Do you think it’s enough just to spray regularly for now?

I don’t personally think spraying them does any real good and may do more harm due to potential fungus on the leaves etc. I would recommend a humidifier or if you have several plants you can group close together they will create higher humidity for one another.
