Hey everyone!! I hope your weekend is going well. I would appreciate some help with my Dottie. Why is she standing at attention? I put a grow light on her thinking she was looking for more light but it hasn't helped. Her leaves are enormous and look healthy except for the brown on the edges. Any ideas? Thank you ahead of time!!

Calatheas pull their leaves up at night, like hands in prayer which leads to the name, prayer plant 🙂 she looks very healthy and colorful!

I would agree but her leaves never come down. My other calatheas don't do this.

Oooh I didn’t realize you meant they never come down. Not sure why her leaves stay up then 🤷‍♀️

is she getting enough moisture to accommodate the lights? looks like her leaves are a bit crispy.

I started misting her a couple times a week. I water once a week. Should I water more often?

Mine do then when they try to catch more light. I suggest pop it closer to the window or add a grow light
