Hi Plant Family,

A few weeks ago I separated and repotted my zz. This one (I’m pointing) is all soft on the bottom. Dead?
I’m a bit worried about this plant. There are some dry edges, one or two leaves have fallen, you’ll see a little yellowing. Any suggestions on how to keep her happy?

I think they are rotting from the base, especially if it’s newly separated. If they didn’t take root I would try to do a slight tug on it and see if it comes out or just remove them in general to check the base.

That has happened to me! What I do is remove them, cut the rotting off and place them in water till they grow new roots so I can place them back in soil. This works 100% of the time so that’s what I automatically do now.
