how easy are these to keep alive? i want one cause they’re so unique but my prayer plant is on the brink of death. 🤣

Mr. Illustrious is a Calathea Illustris. I got him through one of those subscriptions, but when I found out he had a death trap around his roots, I had to repot him. I wasn’t sure he was going to make it but he’s already given me two new leaves—and there’s another on the way!

This is what Elena looked like a month ago, I think the eastern lighting \& daily spraying is what made her grow big so fast. But I also think plants have their own personalities, as long as the plant is healthy we’re all happy 🫶🏼

#### Heather replied on 2023-09-12

Nope, but I do live in Florida so it’s pretty humid already lol
