My bf accidentally overwatered my Helga ! The soil has been very wet still for over a week. A few leaves have rotted off. I’ve skipped watering twice because the soil is still wet but I’m not sure I’m doing what’s best ? Any advice please ?

You could replace the soil and clean off the roots

I say replace soil. Only water till it is coming out the bottom then stop. Water when top 1inch to 1.5 is dry.

I reported my root rot plants. Cut off rotten roots and soaked in hydrogen peroxide and water for a bit before replanting in fresh soil. I imagine if root rot has started you aren't going to get rid of it completely unless you take it out
