Poll: do you let your climbing plants root themselves into the wall? Do you encourage it? Or take steps to prevent it?

(This guy is determined to climb the wall, whether I want him to or not!)

I would give it a pole or lattice to climb so it’s not stuck in one place

I let them go. I’ll eventually repaint.
