# Hi all, Any advice on whether or not this button fern can be saved?…

Hi all,

Any advice on whether or not this button fern can be saved? Propagated?

The leaves are mostly dry and brittle, a few green left.

I’ve never kept a button fern before.

When it looks like that, I don’t think so.

Thanks, I separated the root ball and repotted as my last hope.

If you ever opt to try again with a fern, don’t put it in a terra cotta pot!
