Anyone know what these brown spots are on our bromeliad? It’s on a table in a south window and we water it every Saturday or Sunday.

Can’t see very well but its most likely too much sun. Otherwise it could just be that the mother plant is dying in its natural life cycle.

It may be the flower dying off, i’ve read that bromeliad flowers don’t have a long lifespan

I have a bromeliad that looks similar to this one. What i’ve learned is that the mother plant will only flower once in its life then it will die, but don’t worry because it might leave you with pups you can propagate to make new plants!
