# Hello! My dieffenbachia is putting out a new leaf, but unfortunately…

Hello! My dieffenbachia is putting out a new leaf, but unfortunately the leaf got ripped a little when it was still closed and growing. Only the lower part has unfurled a little, while the top part isn't budging at all. (Now even the bottom half isn't unfurling anymore, so the leaf has been stuck like this for months.) Any advice on what I should do?

I don’t suggest misting plants to increase humidity but mist just the unfurled leaves, maybe buy a humidifier for future cases, or just help the leaf unfurl manually

Look up the “paper towel method” and see if that helps…
