# Does anyone have suggestions on how to save this aloe? It’s been grey…

Does anyone have suggestions on how to save this aloe? It’s been grey for months. I’ve been struggling to figure out exactly what’s wrong.

It looks a bit stressed to me. Are you growing it outside? How’s the weather been like the last couple of months?

It is growing outside. The other two transitioned a lot better but they were a bit more solid. The stem on this one was really long and I repotted it deeper in hopes that it would help a little over a month ago but haven’t seen any change. Now I’m wondering if I should I’ve cut them stem instead. I’m in South Florida so pretty warm temps for the most part. Lowest averaging about 65.

Oh, I don’t think they like having their stems deep into the soil. It’s better to be ahead them and use the tip to start over. The mother plant will also grow new side shoots.  
I would definitely recommend that you reverse the repotting of it.

Aloe turn grey when they’re in shock.
