# About 1/3 of my dieffenbachia’s leaves have suddenly started to…

About 1/3 of my dieffenbachia’s leaves have suddenly started to yellow. This happened once before late last year. Planta suggested it might have been over-fertilized and recommended I give it a shower. It appears to have happened again. There is plenty of new growth coming along, so I don’t think it’s sick. I’m wondering if anyone else has had this happen before?

If there are no pests found, not placed in too much light and watering / fertilizing is also not an issue then I’d check if it has become root bound. My peace Lilly had new growth turning yellow and I realized it was so root bound. My diffenbachia did great in a room with north facing window. Hope you find a solution soon.

Could be pot bound, but that really depends if this is more than normal amount of die back
