Hello 👋 my black velvet put out this mutated pup. Does anyone have any idea what it would be classified as?

They both look odd colours to me 😂

Is the lighter leaf older? It looks like it is darkening up with age

The leaf in the foreground is older. It does change slightly as it hardens off but it definitely has dark veins with a light colored leaf. It almost looks like a silver dragon but it's definitely from a black velvet.

Brand new leaf vs older one. See how they’re completely different to the posted one?

Or wait sorry are both leaves the pup from the black velvet?

### Shneebly commented on 2026-09-06

Yes both leaves are on the same pup from the black velvet. I think i found a name for this mutation through description but I can't find any photos so I can't be sure. It might be alocasia black velvet "ghost"

I don't think so because I have had my black velvet for like 5 years
