# Question: I just recently moved my quilted alocasia and my silver…

Question: I just recently moved my quilted alocasia and my silver dragon into fluval stratum. Both of them were showing signs of root rot. That’s why I made the transition. My questions are, how often should I add water? How often should I change it out for fresh stratum?

I have my regal shields and my Polly’s in Fluval, I only keep about half an inch of water in my vase and they have been in there 3 months now I havnt changed the stratum, but the roots are going crazy
