# How long does an alocasia bambino take to grow new leaves? Had mine…

How long does an alocasia bambino take to grow new leaves? Had mine for over a month and it came with an unfurled leaf but nothing after that.  
I humidify pretty often and it gets pretty bright indirect light.

Mine took forever. Nothing all winter but I understand they can go dormant. It’s on its 4th new leaf now in a month or so!!

It may not be getting enough light or warmth. They do go dormant when temps are below 70°.

It’s a lot warmer now. I saw someone cut back on the roots to spark some growth so I’m wondering if I should do that.
