# Hi all, I’m new to the Planta community and i wanted to ask if anyone…

Hi all, I’m new to the Planta community and i wanted to ask if anyone has any experience with this type of alocasia. It was gifted to me and the person said it was a variegated alocasia dawn but I’d like to get everyone’s input. I tried adding it to my plant list but I couldn’t find it.

Beautiful! I’ve seen these popping up in my local fancy garden centers recently. Mostly 4” pot sized ones, so nice get! I think there’s a few possibilities for variegated alocasias, so sorry if none of my ideas are an accurate ID. I’ve seen variegated ones called macrorrhiza variegata, camouflage, or odora variegata. There’s also frydek, but it’s more triangular than this one you got. Hope that helps you find at lease one you can put in Planta to get a schedule for

I agree! I recently picked up a variegated macrorrhiza “camouflage” that looks very similar to this! It’s beautiful \<3
