# What is this growing from the center of my Colocasia? I don’t think…

What is this growing from the center of my Colocasia? I don’t think it’s a new leaf, the new leaf would come from the stem of the newest leaf that’s in the far right of the close up image. Unless I’m wrong and they can grow more leaves from the center and not just the stem of another. I’ve been googling and the best I can think of is it’s starting to grow a flower? But I think it’s too young to be growing one.

Background, I did save this plant. All its leaves were dead and growing one new leaf still in its sheath when I got it. So the four leaves it has is what it had grown under my care. So technically it’s older than what it looks, but still questionable if it could even flower with just four leaves.
