# I have my 1 year old elephant ear, whom I have a love-hate…

I have my 1 year old elephant ear, whom I have a love-hate relationship with. I’ve grown her from a bulb and had a maximum of three leaves at a time on her.
Right now I’m down to one, the newest, and I just noticed that there is a mushroom that’s sprouted in her pot.
The naturalist in me says leave it- let’s see what else happens in this mini ecosystem. But I’m concerned I’d be letting it take nutrients from the plant in such a small setting.
Any thoughts?

I've always thought mushroom growth to mean.....good things are happening. I don't know if I was told that or read it somewhere but it's always been in my head that mushroom = good? 😂
