My alocasia has been doing amazing since day one. I have been very consistent with watering and lighting. Today I checks and soil is slightly dry (usually I would water but it’s a little cold so I’m waiting).  
I notice the stems are just a little bit softer, not mushy and no yellow. It seems very healthy. Has lots of consistent new growth.  
Is there a reason the stems are a little softer? Cold? Repotting?
