# I all can anyone help me out. My Alocasia has a ton of new growth…

I all can anyone help me out. My Alocasia has a ton of new growth since putting it in the window. A new leaf just unfurled and it has discoloration. Should I be concerned. Looks like sun stress, but it just unfurled. I save this plan from the grocery store. It had thrips. They took a few months to eradicate. I was this guy and spray with insecticidal soap every three or so watering. He’s in a soulless mix (Mollys). Just watered and showered him today.

How often do you fertilize? If it’s not pest or disease related, maybe there’s a mineral deficiency?

Thanks! I used Osmocote slow release fertilizer a few months ago and I put superthrive in my water. It could be time for another dose of Osmocote tho. Thank you for the response!
