This came out of my black velvet, I thought it was making a leaf until today and I’ve never seen this before…anyone know what it is and why it’s there??

As the others said it’s a flower. I think it might be the female flower. I think you would need a male version to pollinate it with before you can get seeds. Never done it before but I think that’s how it works.
