# I was so sad because I had to chop a leaf from my Alocasia black…

I was so sad because I had to chop a leaf from my Alocasia black velvet, but then today I noticed this new leaf coming in!! Also does anyone know if that brown tissue paper looking stuff on the base of the stems is normal?
