# Please help ID. I'm not 100% I've got this right. It was a half dead…

Please help ID. I'm not 100% I've got this right. It was a half dead home depot clearance deal. Planta is way off saying Brazil or heartleaf philo... google said el choco and/or Black gold depending on the angle of the pic. The leaves are someone velvety.

It might be Philodendron Melanochrysum or philodendron splendid but I think it’s Melanochrysum

The leaves of what I have are more heart verses how elongated the melanochrysum seem to appear... I'm really clueless

Looking at pics, looks more like splendid as for leaf shape and color of back of leaves and stalk...thank you for both of those! I'm closer!!

I agree with @User123. After running your pic through a plant identifier and the result is a philodendron melanochrysum 😊.
