Hey everyone! This is my first philodendron, I found it at a local Walmart and I was wondering if it looks healthy? Also, what are some basic care routine’s I can implement to help this plant thrive!

(Edit) THANK YOU!! I’ve taken your suggestions to heart and did some soil changes and changed it to a slightlyyy larger pot! As well as added some experimental poles until I buy a moss one!

It looks healthy enough but I’d repot it soon, I find the Walmart soil tends to have a lot of flies. Consider a moss pole.

Seconded. Looks pretty good, but Walmart “soil” is very hard on plants since it stays soggy for so long (perfect for bugs 😬). My philodendrons like a chunky soil that dries about halfway down the pot before watering again. I wouldn’t put it in a larger pot until it’s really settled in and grown a fair amount. My philos seem to prefer to be root bound over being in a pot with too much extra space
