# Does anyone know if my PPP will keep growing if I cut the top to…

Does anyone know if my PPP will keep growing if I cut the top to propagate? I’ve never propagated a philodendron like her before so I’m curious what will happen with the original plant. I love the variegation on her upper half and she’s getting to big for the space so I want to seperate her.

yes! I can show pics if you want. this is the second time I've cut mine, and I got 2 top cuts this time!

Will it grow straight from the cut part or does it start to branch off? I’m fine with either honestly lol

If you top cut, the new growth will usually come out the nearest node. Just be careful as you can exhaust a node. If you keep cutting at the same place repeatedly
