# Hey Yall! My pink princess isn’t doing so well… it’s getting browning…

Hey Yall! My pink princess isn’t doing so well… it’s getting browning on leaves. It did get a new leaf last week, I’m just worried 😟. I’ve been trying to keep her by my window and she’s due for a water this week. Any tips?

You should just keep it in your window. Don’t move it around and change its environment that is stressful for the plant to be in flux of different lighting environments. Some liquid fertilizer or plant food would help. You can never really know what’s rong untill yoo check the roots and see the whole picture so I would do that. Could definitely drop a leaf due to root rot from being too dry (dry rot) or to wet. Just check on the roots and go from there

Thank you! Her roots are good luckily. I’ll keep here in a stabile place. I watered with fertilizer today I am just scared of overwatering

What soil do you have it in? They like chunky well draining soil and from the picture it appears to be kind of compact and dry so it could be that as well.

She’s in a chunky mix with perlite and orchid bark as well. She was definitely due for a water. I had changed her soil because the soil she was in from Trader Joe’s was so weird and mushy. It felt almost rubbery. I watered with fertilizer today and she’s by my window. Thank you for all your tips!
