Is this a new leaf?

Just bought this small plant baby at Kroger almost a month ago and she already had a new leaf unfurling, and I just noticed this yesterday.

Yup. It can take a little while, but just let it do its thing :)

Just a heads up, some of these from Kroger have “death traps” around their roots (a mesh cloth keeping the roots together). They can stunt the growth or cause root rot. If the plant starts struggling or if you have time it might be worth it to repot and check the roots if you haven’t already (:  
(you can still put it back into the same pot after)

Thank you for that advice! I will definitely check to see if there’s anything like that in the pot

sometimes with my pink princess, I put some heavy humidity on the new leaves and can pull them out of the leaf they’re growing into, as sometimes the stem can curl
