# Hi all, I got this plant a little over a month ago and have been…

Hi all, I got this plant a little over a month ago and have been watering when the soil is dry. It has been doing well and producing new leaves but recently i've noticed these yellow brown spots on two of the leaves and not sure what's causing it. Any help is appreciated!  
(The plant tag just says "philodendron" but i think its a golden violin)

Is it getting any direct sunlight?

it gets the kind of light in the photos, not bright sunlight, my room has a west and north-west window. I do have some UV plant lights, would that help?

I think it’s getting enough light but west facing gets direct sunlight late in the day so that corner that’s crispy might be sunburn. You could try a sheer curtain to diffuse the light.
