# I’ve noticed some of the new leaves on my lemon lime philodendron…

I’ve noticed some of the new leaves on my lemon lime philodendron coming in reddish. Does anyone know what this is from and whether or not it is cause for concern? Overall he seems pretty happy and puts out a lot of new growth.

Some plants have a pinkish tint to new leaves that are grown in bright light. The lighter the natural color of the leaves, the more noticeable the tint is. As far as I know, it’s no issue unless you start to see sunburn, which looks like unusual whiteish streaks. Or brown crispy spots in severe cases.

It’s perfectly normal! I have one as well and it does the same thing, the leaves eventually turn more green as they grow :)

Totally normal! New leaves come yellowish or redish u til they turn lime green.
