# My pink princess has a scrunched leaf I’m assuming is from having…

My pink princess has a scrunched leaf I’m assuming is from having difficulty separating from the sheath. It’s remained scrunched for several weeks with no signs of straightening out, but has another leaf developing and looking like it’ll be ready to pop out after a a while. I’m assuming that leaf will remain scrunched, but is that going to cause issues for future growth? Or should it be fine developing new leaves and they won’t be stunted like this one? I know PPP can have stuck leaves more often than my other plants.

Have you tried to up the humidity or mist the stuck sheath? It shouldnt stunt other leaves, but if the issue is humidity, that issue will prob reoccur. A pebble tray could help if you dont have one already.

It was from when I got it. It was already half out when I got it. I keep an eye on humidity so I’m hoping the issue doesn’t happen with this new leaf

if your conditions are all good now then you'll be fine. the scrunched one may unscrunch but it depends on how long it was stuck for. i've personally never had a leaf be permanently crunched up on my ppp.

It will be fine. But that leaf will remain lol my prince of orange has two stunted leaves lol but they are disappearing quickly behind new spring growth so I wouldn't worry too much
