This honey was in Lowe's clearance \& came home with me for $7.99. She my first Philodendron! I thought with the whole "ring of fire" philly thing, Melissa Schemmenti is the perfect name. I love new plants \& Abbott Elementary. Any tips?

Take her out of coco peat and into something chunkier/better drainage. She’ll love you for it

The ones Planta recommends are actually pretty good. Any potting soil/perlite/orchid bark should be fine. Of often when I don’t want to spend a fortune I’ll combine potting soil with leca to chunk it up

Also check for pests. Lowes got those in a month or so ago so there’s been plenty of time for bugs to wiggle their way in.
