# Beautiful marbled find today at Lowe’s. I immediately repotted due to…

Beautiful marbled find today at Lowe’s. I immediately repotted due to CLEARLY crappy “soil” to find two completely separate plugs with the little wrap around them so tight the roots weren’t even growing out of them as they should. I got the “film” (idk what the stuff is but it’s like those decomposing pots lol) off and released the roots. Rinsed and separated. They both have hardly any root system but I downsized DRAAAASSSTICALLY as well as kept them separated 🥰

Uh I just got a young one maybe it won’t be so bad since it’s younger . I do need to repot I’ve just been waiting for a baby to root so I can put the together . I hate they do that it’s the plant version of a puppy mill IMO grow them then get them out not really worrying about the health after the fact.

I’ve definitely learned that the smaller the pot the better. I need those roots and aerials going CRAZY before upping!! These 3in pots are still too big imo for the roots they had ! Hang on I’ll try to snap a pic from the video I made lol I’m sure yours will do well!! It’s definitely a plant mill 🥲

so. Sad. Leaves like this should have bigger roots!?!?! 😭

I’ll post mine when I repot im thinking maybe I should just do it now \& worry about the other prop later.

I’m going to assume there’s a plug because it looks like one but we will see .

Mine isn’t showing shock or any wilting after the dramatic repot!!! So I think it was a great decision to just go ahead and do it. I hope yours is happier when you do it too!

I didn’t find a net but the dirt is so compacted. I had to soak it in order to remove it to me is almost as bad as the net. The soil is looks like soil but feels hard like clay .

Mine was all peat and some fertilizer granules lol but the actual plugs that were wrapped were a normalish soil! Im just super happy to have found these two beauties and snagged them before they rotted away!!
