My Pink Princess came in one, also. Did you get it from Walmart, by chance? 😉 Philos do like to dry out a little bit before waterings, so I decided to keep the plant in the pot but just water it like normal.

I actually asked a question on here earlier about self-watering pots! 😅

I would suggest reporting. and planting in VERY well draining soil and peter able a clear or terracotta pot so you can see when the water is FULLY out and the soil is dry completely . I use one part pearlite. one part all purpose soil and one part orchid bark. These plants need a loooot of drainage and sitting in water can verrrrry easily lead to root rot which is pretty hard to come back from. I did all those steps to mine and she has been growing like crazy!

Thanks! I have another philodendron and the person i got it from had put it in a chunky orchid bark mix so that makes sense now! :)

This might be better for a plant that likes moisture, maybe African violets?? Cool idea though…
