# In general, how often are we supposed to fertilize in the winter…

In general, how often are we supposed to fertilize in the winter months? This is the fertilizer that I use. I guess I thought we were only supposed to fertilize only during growing season. Any help would be appreciated.☺️

I think of it as more like fertilizing while my plant is growing. If they’re growing, feed them. Pause if they’re not. I think about how little the conditions change in my home. My plants don’t know it’s winter!

i personally dilute my fertilizer by 1/4 or 25% (it asks for 4 pumps and i use 1 per quart of water) and use it in every watering. my philodendron keep pushing new growth year round!

I’m in this boat too! I dilute feed all year, I use a stronger fish fertilizer in the summer.

I dilute my fertilizer about half and then fertilize half as often. But I think iambijoux has a pretty good idea as well.

It all depends, what kind of plants are you talking about and what are they're conditions? Light, water, is it near vents and so on.
