# Hi I need help identifying two plants. They are marked a pink…

_Posted by Dee4Life on 2025-02-02_

Hi I need help identifying two plants. They are marked a pink princess and black cherry princess. However I think that the one marked pink princess is definitely a black cherry. I also believe that the black cherry princess is also a black cherry however I'm a little confused because it's leaves are longer pointier and thinner the other one. Does anybody have any feedback? I actually purchased a true pink princess philodendron at the nursery the other day and I added a picture of what that looks like here. After doing a lot of research on the differences between pink princess and black cherry, I'm convinced that I have two black cherries and one pink princess. Thoughts?

I believe you may be right, but unfortunately, they are so similar I don’t think you’ll really be able to ever get a true answer.😢

Originally, I thought you were asking the difference between the first photo and the other photos . I was like girll obviously the pink one is the PPP my b I need to read things better🤣

LOL. It's weird because the true black cherry has the wider darker leaves. But the original imposter has narrower leaves - but they are darker not the color of a true pink princess. Bad hybriding I guess.

I feel like they're swapped

The princess leaves should be narrow, like you mentioned. Like this (though this is a white)

This is an orange galaxy princess, a pink princess, and a black cherry. The difference will usually be the leaf width and the green color.
